This weekend I took off for a daytrip to Balangan Beach, which is a 1 hour motorbike drive away from Canggu.
Balangan Beach is a long white sandy beach stretch with crystal clear water at the base of rocky cliffs. Before you go down the steps at the north end of the beach there is a small hill overlooking the ocean, from where you can see the beautiful Balangan Beach from above.
Wooden shacks, local restaurants and sun umbrellas line the shore. From here you get a panoramic view to the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunsets. Sipp a coconut or a ice cold Bintang while watching wave riders from around the world surfing the left-hander.
