Tegenungan waterfall is located at the sacred river of Petanu River in the Tegenungan Village, halfway between Ubud and Bali’s capital Denpasar. The falls are conveniently located and considered the closest natural attraction you can reach within only 30 minutes from Ubud and 1 hour from Canggu area.
For Nature Lovers who happen to explore the waterfall by motorbike, be aware that the location on GoogleMaps is off. It shows a location around 20 minutes from the actual waterfall.
Once reaching the location you will find a big parking area with ticket booths up front. Tickets are 10.000 IDR per person.
The waterfall is only a several minutes walk down a trail where you pass souvenir shops and small warungs selling snacks and cold drinks. On the way down you can enjoy the delightful green valley scene with the waterfall as a centerpiece. You can go down and enjoy a dip in the plunge pool. Go there early around 09:00 and avoid the crowds that start to make their way down to the waterfall around 11:00. October to April during the wet season the water volume is the strongest
